My name is Emi Lou Nathan,

and I’m the 17-year-old photographer behind E.L.N. Photography. 

 

From a young age, I’ve been fascinated by the idea of holding onto memories - the beautiful, the messy, and everything in between. I started taking photos as a way to freeze the moments I never wanted to forget, and over time, my passion turned into something much more meaningful. I discovered that a single image can make someone feel deeply: joy, nostalgia, wonder, or even a bittersweet pain. That’s what I aim to capture in every photo - the raw, authentic emotions that make life worth remembering.

My photography focuses on telling stories in the most genuine way possible. Each project, whether it’s a senior portrait that reflects your personality, a couple’s photoshoot that tells your love story, or product photography that brings everyday moments to a new level, is an opportunity to pour my heart into creating images that feel true to you.

I’m based in New Orleans, a city full of life, history, and creativity. While I’m just beginning my journey as a photographer, I’ve already had the chance to work on projects ranging from portraits to jewelry shoots. I’m an award-winning photographer, having received a Regional Scholastic Gold Key and National Scholastic Silver Medal for my picture below, and my product photography has been published in regional magazines. My age gives me a fresh perspective and a deep connection to my peers, which helps me create photos that feel relatable and full of life.
